You nourished her passion for worship the day she walked into BCHS. Seeing her gifts from God and her much needed spirit to share her personal relationship with Jesus, and the opportunity to do so. As a parent, Greg and I could not ask for more. Thank you Bob! Aka “Mr. Hudson”
"I started Worship Arts my junior year of high school with Bob Hudson being the teacher. I noticed from the very start that Bob was someone who put his time, effort, and heart into the class. He professed how to musically perform for an audience, but most importantly how to worship God through music. I continued to take this class my senior year and even work with Bob after high school. This class and Bob aided in growing my relationship and furthering my walk with the Lord. I am forever thankful for taking Worship Arts with Bob Hudson. "
“ I have been a part of Mr. Hudson’s Worship Arts class for three years and have to say it was my favorite class at Bakersfield Christian High School. Mr. Hudson has lead the class into ministry and taught what it truly means to become a worship leader. I looked up to him not only as a teacher but as a leader for Christ. Mr. Hudson has impacted our community by teaching how to play worship music not only for our school chapels, but for other private schools and community centers in Bakersfield. Overall, Mr. Hudson has not only impacted the community of this city, but he has inspired myself as a worship leader. “
Mr. Hudson is the definition of a leader. but more importantly, a spiritual leader. He has impacted the lives of the young ones around him through worship. All that I’ve learned about worship has came through Bob in a God-fearing way, Something that today’s generation of children imperatively need to receive.
It is such an inspiration to see someone humbly dedicate their passions and talents to doing the Lord’s work. Bob Hudson, through an example of quiet leadership and bold encouragement, has taught me and so many others what it means to seek God’s kingdom and do everything for His Glory. His servant’s heart is a pure embodiment of Christ. I’ve truly been blessed to learn from him and enjoy watching his ministry grow.
I was leading a worship team for a local church in Bakersfield, Ca. Bob came in and worked with our team for over a year. He taught us how to sing, play guitar and bring the congregation into worship. How to begin a service and transition from song to song and end the service were important to understand. Song placement through the service tied into bringing everyone to that moment right before the Pastor speaks. I can tell you that working with Bob gave all of us the confidence to lead our congregation from week to week. His production experience taught us how to rehearse with a purpose and get the most out of our team. We became better musicians but more importantly we grew spiritually and became more of a family. I am thankful to have worked alongside of Bob serving the Kingdom.
